KERB is a Dubai car-services marketplace operated by KERB. This page explains what we do with your information. Contact: ceo@kerb.ae.
When you post a job we ask for your name, WhatsApp number, area, car (make and model), the job and when you want it done. Notes you type, such as a basement level or a noise, travel with the job.
When you pay we ask for your name, WhatsApp number, email and area so the payment can be processed and a receipt sent.
When a dealer signs up we ask for a business name, WhatsApp, the kind of work, areas covered, an optional trade licence number, a promo line and a 4-digit PIN.
Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Mr Ivory, on its secure payment page. Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered on Mr Ivory’s page and are not sent to or stored by KERB.
We keep a record of each payment: the order reference, amount, status, date and the job it was for. We share your name, phone number and email with Mr Ivory so it can process the payment, check for fraud and send your receipt.
If you add photos to a job, they are uploaded to KERB’s server and shown with the job to dealers so they can price it. Please avoid photos of people. Ask us and we will delete them.
If you drop a pin or let your phone share its location (GPS), we store those coordinates with the job. Dealers who are bidding see only the area and an approximate location (about 1 km). The exact pin and address go to the winning dealer only after the KERB fee is paid. This is optional: you can pick an area instead. The map uses OpenStreetMap services, which receive your IP address to load map tiles and turn a pin into an address.
Jobs, bids, photos and payment records are stored on KERB’s hosting server so a job can be picked up on another device and dealers can bid on it. Your session and some job details are also kept in your browser (local storage) on your own phone or computer.
To let dealers bid on the right job in the right area, to let the winning dealer do the work, to take and confirm payment, to unlock WhatsApp after KERB is paid, to handle refunds and warranty claims, and to keep KERB safe from fraud.
We do not sell your details and we do not use them for advertising.
Dealers see what they need to price and do the work: the job, the car, the area, an approximate location (about 1 km) and photos. The winning dealer sees your exact pin, address, name and WhatsApp only after the KERB fee is paid. Mr Ivory receives what it needs to process payments. We may share information where UAE law requires it.
Chat between you and the dealer uses WhatsApp. Messages sent there are ordinary WhatsApp messages and live on WhatsApp’s systems. We may email you about your job or payment.
KERB is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from under-18s. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We keep job information while it is needed to run the marketplace and handle warranty claims, and payment records for as long as the law requires. Email ceo@kerb.ae to ask for a copy of your information or to have your jobs, photos, dealer account or chat details deleted. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser to remove what is stored on your device.
KERB is run from Dubai. The United Arab Emirates is our country of domicile and UAE law applies to this policy.
